Help Us Build Up Our S.T.E.A.M. Program

We are looking for community  members who want to partner with our STEAM Program.

Who do we need?
The table shows the inquiry based themes and topics we are covering next semester. This list of potential career pathways will deepen student learning of STEAM while making real world connections. If your career can fit into one of these areas but is not listed, we would love to hear from you.

January - Career: Marine Biologist, Meteorologist, Disaster Relief, someone who works with fresh water, Air Traffic Controller, Documentary/Media (*in weather), Robotics, etc - What Are We Learning About: Weather/Climate/Water Cycle

February - Career: Environmental Engineer, Mining, Geologist, Topographer, Petroleum Engineer, Oil & Gas, Robotics, etc - What Are We Learning About: Landforms/Rocks/Fossil Fuels/Natural Resources/Soil

March - Career: Nasa, Astronomer, Aerospace Engineer, Systems Engineer, Planetarium Director, Robotics, etc - What Are We Learning About: Sun/Earth/Moon/Earth's Rotation/Planets

April - Careers: Biologist, Farmer, Botanist, Wildlife Manager, Conservationist, Agriculture, Zoologist, Robotics, etc - What Are We Learning About: Ecosystems/Lifecycles/Adaptations/Traits/Foodwebs

What Would You Do?
Volunteers will partner with us by speaking to small groups of students about your career. You can volunteer for an entire day or just a class period. Virtual sessions are also an option.
